With the rise of new media and the internet, most any service can be arranged for on line.

Cremation and funeral arrangements can be made on line simply and easily.  Once you have found a funeral service or cremation service provider you like and trust, their website should have a set of downloadable forms for your use.

Making these arrangements in your own time and in the comfort of your own home makes this hard time in your life all that much more tolerable.  A series of legal and other forms are usually available in PDF or other easily accessible forms for you to download and print out.

Please see our site for an example.

We obtain documents required prior to cremation, including:

  1. A signed Death Certificate by the attending physician or hospice medical director
  2. A Burial Transit Permit issued by the city or county where the death occurred
  3. A signed Authorization To Cremate by the legal next of kin.  (The order of precedence for legal next of kin is: spouse, all natural children over 18, parents, siblings, cousins)
  4. A Permit For Cremation from the office of either the Medical Examiner or Justice of the Peace

Our prices range from $795 for a simple, direct cremation, to $1495 for a customized, fully staffed memorial service.  We also offer a full traditional service followed by cremation for $3395, including a casket and 2 hours of viewing prior to the funeral service.

We hope that this email helps you in your decision when selecting a cremation service provider.  It would be our privilege to serve you and your family.

Sincerely,

Wendell J. Cox

One of the critical questions you should ask your cremation or memorial service provider is:

“Is embalming required before cremation?”

Embalming is not required by law.  Most funeral homes require embalming only if there is to be a public viewing.  If there are family members, friends or loved ones who did not get an opportunity to say goodbye,  a time for a small, private viewing with no requirement for embalming can be scheduled.

Your wishes can be accommodated whether you choose to honor your loved one with a small, private viewing or a staffed public viewing.

LocalCremation.com provides professional, caring cremation services.  We would be honored to help you in this time of need for you and your loved ones.  We provide simple, dignified, affordable cremation services to honor a life well lived.

What are the important questions to ask any cremation provider?

  1. When you bring my loved one into your care, where are they taken?
  2. Do you operate your own crematory?
  3. When is the body cremated?
  4. Can I witness the start of the cremation process?
  5. Is embalming required?
  6. When and how are my loved ones ashes returned to me?

Be sure and ask these questions as you go through the process.  If you have any questions, please visit www.localcremation.com or call us 214-343-4040.  We provide simple, dignified cremation and graveside services to North Texas and beyond.
